It's when I'm knee deep in life that I miss it.
It's when I'm knee deep in grace that I'm blind.
When I'm surrounded by good things and all I can see are bills, appointments, laundry and sibling squabbles. When I'm training my eyes to see the darkness instead of raising them to the light.
I'm too busy making mountains out of molehills and trading anxiety for peace. Making the unimportant things big, and not seeing thing the small things as the most important of all.
Too busy looking for what I lack instead of marveling at what I have.
Sometimes it takes a step back, a peek through a lens - to see it. To see Him. Everywhere.
When I do, it knocks the air right out of me and drives me to my knees. Oh, sweet goodness. Everywhere. All I have to do is open my eyes.
