Perfect Peace
"You will keep in perfect peace him who's mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3
From my perch on the armchair, I can hear the nurses out in the hall laughing and chatting about plans for the upcoming weekend. Here in the darkness, I watch the labored rise and fall of little Peter's chest and occasionally check the numbers on the monitor, hoping for improvement. Every now and then, he opens his eyes and looks toward me, a tiny half sigh, half whine the only noise he makes.
Excuse my absence this week - I'm spending it holed up in the hospital with my littlest one, praying for peace.
