Oh some wild and crazy weather we've been having! Dark skies and thunder one moment, sunshine and warmth the next! Yes, it's Springtime in Michigan, with all that implies.
Last Sunday I found myself with a little bit of spare time to do some leisurely Sunday sewing. I dug through my sewing
These skirts are so easy to make. As soon as I get a bit more time, I'll be heading to the fabric store to stock up on supplies. I followed this tutorial. In under an hour from start to finish, I can make a small stack of them for the girls in my life - myself included!.
Easy peasy. Adorable. Functional. Perfect for Spring.
What are you working on these days?
Thanks so much for the link to these skirts, I have been looking for something quick and easy for myself, this is perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteAll I need now is a little bit of spare time :)
Good luck finding spare time! Mine is largely stolen from the other things I should be doing!
DeleteLove the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI have bought one or two skirts for myself with that kin of waist and they are a staple in my closet (especially changing sizes all the time in this child-bearing season). Your post is PERFECT and timely because I was just wondering how I could make something like it on my own!
ReplyDeleteNow I guess I'd better get some stretch jersey :-)
There are always sales at Joanns and you can usually find coupons too! I had a few similar skirts last year right after I had my baby and I wore them every day!
DeleteThis is perfect!! Just what I need to stock up on for the warmer weather heading our way...and they will fit so perfectly over my growing middle! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
When is the baby due? I find the stretchy waistband is great to slip under a growing tummy, and very forgiving on post partum belly as well!
DeleteThese skirts make me want to learn to sew!! I have a machine, it is that extra time ya know... ;)
