{Thankful Thursday}

“Gratitude for the seemingly insignificant—a seed—this plants the giant miracle.”

Ann Voskamp

It happens every year around this time.  My facebook feed becomes a steady stream of gratitude from my friends, many posting daily the blessings in their lives.  This year, I'll be doing Thursday postings of a week of gratitude.  I would love to read any gratitude lists you are making this month, ideas for Thanksgiving projects or traditions for the family, or just one thing you are thankful for.  There is just so much to give thanks for.

Here are mine, for the first week of Gratitude:

November 1st: For my husband, faithful and hardworking, loving and playful, moral and strong.

November 2nd: For my parents, their commitment to each other, God and country.  For their love and care of everyone who crosses their path.  For their relentless faith, even in the midst of hard times.  For their love and acceptance of each and every life God blesses us with.

November 3rd: For Saturdays, filled with chores, yes, but also lots of fun and relaxing.  Time with husband and father, family and friends.  Time to slow down and reflect on another beautiful week.

November 4th:  For our Faith - both the daily expression of it and our weekly worship services.  Thankful to be able to take my children to services and teach them our Faith every day.

November 5th:  For friends, both similar to us and different.  For the encouragement and support I am shown by these incredible families every day to continue living our convictions.

November 6th: For freedom, including but not limited to - the freedom of religion.  Freedom to parent/school our children according to our values.  Freedom to have a voice in the selection of leaders.

November 7th: For my brother, his lovely wife and their darling daughter - daily light and joy in my life.

November 8th: For our home, small and snug, little and unremarkable, yet a home nonetheless.  Soft beds to lay my little ones in, warm blankets, a roof over our heads.  A place to be together.  A place to feel welcome and complete.

Now it's your turn!  I would love to read about the blessings in your life.  Leave a comment with a link to your own post, or just post a few below.  Grateful for you all!
