I initially found Little Bee Co. Diapers on facebook. I was instantly drawn in by a friend who had also "liked" their page. The diapers looked nice enough, but my interest turned to amazement when I realized what this company does.
Not only do they make and sell high quality cloth diapers, but for every diaper sold, they send one to a child in need in orphanages around the world.
I had a "virtual sit down" with Jona, the owner of Little Bee Co, to find out what they are all about.
Q: What inspired you to start Little Bee Co diapers?
A. I have always had a heart for orphans. Having traveled on the mission field to several countries, both my husband and
I have seen the diapering conditions of so many sweet babies. My goal was to provide a diaper that would not only be
loved by customers but make a difference in an area that we had seen was lacking in so many facilities {especially those in
3rd world countries}
Q: Little Bee Co Diapers gives away one diaper for each diaper ordered. Was this originally your
vision for Little Bee Co?
A. We always knew that God had BIG plans for The Little Bee Co and our Bee Changed Diaper. At times we weren't sure what direction it would take us but very quickly we knew that advocating and providing for orphans was what we were being called to do.
Q: What are the future goals for Little Bee Co? Do you have a dream number in mind of
orphanages that you would like to help?
Q: Are you planning on adding anything new to your product line?
Little Bee Co. launched last year on Mother's Day with the goal of giving away 1000 diapers in a year. Coming up on their one year anniversary, Little Bee Co. has given away 3000 diapers, triple their intended amount.
Little Bee sent me a diaper to try out and I am in love! Totally adjustable one size diaper with many options for inserts. Squishy soft bamboo. This diaper can hold back a flood! It is my new favorite diaper.
